Daddy,
Your earthly body has definitely earned it’s rest.  I cannot think of anyone more deserving of Heaven’s reward then you.   We will all miss you endlessly.  You were a shining example of God’s love for us all. Thank you for showing me how to be a good person.  Each memory I have of you will help dull the pain of each day I have to live without you here with me.  To simply say I love you is an understatement…  I adore you.  You were definitely my hero here on Earth.  Now you will be a special angel to watch over me from Heaven while I’m here finishing the work God has for me to do.  I will be sure to “get it did” and “make it right”  •smile•

Annie’s siblings included one older sister Hattie, two younger brothers Fred Wesley and Thomas. Annie’s mother, Georgia, died in the Summer of 1934 at the age of 30 when Annie was 7 years old.

Aunt Ann remembers that about 7:00 am; just pass the time she had gotten out to the fields and just received some breakfast they got the news that their mother had passed.

Aunt Ann says her mother was very sweet and would say “I love you” when you come in and in a very encouraging person.

Aunt Ludy (Lucinda) came to stay with the family for approximately two weeks after Annie’s mother died. Ann’s father, Thomas Jefferson, married Dotsy Elizabeth Jefferson [Peale] in the Fall of 1934.
